Resort Update

 

The 2013 season has arrived and I am pleased to announce that The Sagamore Resort will once again resume its year-round status.  As in years past we have continued to make improvements to our resort.  Our latest round of renovations and improvements are sure to enhance the guest experience.

Last year we started renovating the lodge suites and lodge rooms. We are pleased to say that by the time we reopen all our lodge accommodations will be complete. In the suites, new tile flooring, carpet, wallpaper, stainless steel kitchen appliances, new cabinets and granite countertops highlight the renovations. In the lodge rooms, new wallpaper, carpeting and drapes mark some of the changes. As two thirds of our guest rooms are in the lodges we are thrilled that these improvements will be experienced by many of our guests.

The conference center, located in the center of the island, will also receive a complete facelift. New furniture, carpet, wallpaper, lighting, tile and paint will highlight the upgrades and improvements. This will be ready for our first group in April, and we know they will be pleased with the new look. We also will have two new executive boardrooms, Crown and Dome, named after two of the prominent islands on Lake George. Each will accommodate 12-14 attendees and will be centrally located in the main hotel.

In years past the salon was separate from our spa, we are pleased to say we have relocated the salon down to join the spa, where the entire area will see a complete renovation from floor to ceiling. This area will have a new look and excitement unparalleled within the OPAL Collection of Resorts and Hotels. 

Finally, last but certainly not least, we are looking forward to another great season. Subtle changes are being made to the operations with guests’ satisfaction being of the utmost importance. Our managers and supervisors have been busy hiring staff for the season, and our Executive Chef and Food and Beverage Director are finalizing menus which are sure to please.
