A letter from the General Manager

A look ahead,

First and foremost I would like to take this opportunity to thank all our guests that have joined us over the last year. There were many exciting changes to the resort in 2009! We began with 37 new guest rooms along with an expanded lobby in the Main Hotel. The addition of the outdoor pools on the front lawn, offering breathtaking views of the lake proved to be a favorite among all our guests. Our new lounge, Caldwell’s Lobby Bar and new restaurant, La Bella Vita have also been very well received.

Through the season we rely on candid guest feedback and thank you for taking the time to tell us how we are doing. Every guest survey is read and passed through the departments as part of our daily routine. We use the information wisely, and many changes in operations have been a direct result of hearing from you.

Looking ahead, the resort will close during the first part of December and will reopen on April 9th for group business and to our leisure guests on Friday April 30th. Over the closure we will continue to make improvements throughout the resort. Specifically the main dock will be completely redone, along with decking and landscaping leading up to the Veranda lower terrace. The Cabana will be completely redone to include both men’s and women’s bathrooms along with a full service bar with 21 bar stools and deck seating for 32. Food and Beverage offerings will include summertime favorites along with soft ice cream too!

In addition to that work will also be done on the historic hotel to include a new roof along with heating and air conditioning systems in many of our hotel rooms.  In the lodges we will be converting all the linens and bedding to match what was done in the main hotel in 2009, complete with new white linens, bolster pillows, duvets and throws.
